    School Closure Update:

    Dear VCUSD Team,

At the Wednesday, January 22nd, Governing Board meeting, I am making the following recommendation:

Current school facilities to be closed / consolidated for the 2020-2021 school year; to be considered for District Office, Child Development / Early Education Center, other use TBD, or to be declared surplus for sale or lease at the earliest opportunity:

                   Beverly Hills Elementary School

                   Franklin Middle School

                   Farragut Academy

We are not recommending the closure / consolidation of Lincoln Elementary

Please understand that this recommendation is extremely difficult to make. I share this with you at this time because my desire is to increase trust and transparency throughout the District. We are asking the Board to make a final decision at the February 19th Board meeting. Regardless of what happens, our students need us to continue to provide a high quality set of services. Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions with me.

    Thank you,

    Adam Clark

    Meet our office staff!

    Ms. Cortez, Office Manager

    Office News:

    Early Pick-Up

Children must be signed out in the office by their parent or guardian.  At that time your child will be called out of the classroom to the office.  This will allow for less interruptions for the student/teacher learning.  Students cannot be released to any adult not listed on the emergency form.  We ask that you make arrangements and schedule appointments for after school.  Early pick-up should only be for emergencies as every instructional minute is beneficial to your child's progress.  Excessive early pick-ups may result in a referral to SARB (truancy process).

Absence Procedures:   All absences must be verified by a phone call or note from the parent or guardian.  These notes are due when a student returns to school and must be turned in to the teacher or office staff.  Please call the school (707) 556-8540 when your child is going to be absent.
